SINGAPORE – In grades-obsessed Singapore, even drinks get a score. Those with less sugar and saturated fats get an “A” under the Nutri-Grade labelling system, while high-sugar, high-fat offenders get stamped with a “D”.
When rolled out to packaged drinks in December 2022 and freshly made ones at the end of 2023, it was met with a mixture of confusion and ambivalence.
