SINGAPORE – Sentosa is switching things up from September to October with a line-up of events and promotions cascading from daytime fun to night-time revelry.

Visitors will be treated to new nocturnal experiences, extended operating hours and islandwide promotions.

Sentosa Night Mode is designed by the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) to boost the island’s reputation as a day-to-night destination for Singaporeans and tourists.

The 11 themed weekends feature a variety of treats, including festive markets, street performances and late-night movies.

At the new immersive Sentosa Sensoryscape – a ridge-to-reef landmark linking Resorts World Sentosa in the north to Sentosa’s beaches in the south – guests are invited to explore Sentosa afresh with their imagination.

Spanning 30,000 sq m, Sensoryscape is a many-splendoured outing, blending nature, design and technology.

When night falls, Sensoryscape transforms into a spectacle with ImagiNite, an outdoor audiovisual and augmented-reality experience. Sensoryscape is open daily, with ImagiNite starting every night at 7.50pm.

Another highlight is the Sentosa Naturalist Night Adventure and Fort Siloso Night Experience. The tours take guests on a journey through Sentosa’s nocturnal wildlife and the historic Fort Siloso.

On the third weekend of each month, visitors can enjoy extended operating hours, plus many promotions at attractions, dining establishments and retail outlets.

From August to October, the last weekend of each month will see Siloso Beach Walk transformed into a street party area with themed clubbing events.

Skypark Sentosa by AJ Hackett will be unveiling Twilight Thrills, an adrenaline-powered bungee experience under the stars.

Over at Mega Adventure Park, there will be extended hours till 10pm, offering a “night zip line” experience where guests can get a bird’s-eye view of the illuminated island. Zip-lining involves riding a steel cable between two points, offering panoramic views.

Ms Thien Kwee Eng, SDC’s chief executive, says Sentosa Night Mode will diversify the island’s experiences and cater to growing visitor demand for more evening entertainment options.

She adds: “With Night Mode, SDC aims to create new opportunities for guests to discover Sentosa anew and to extend their length of stay.”
